Deniece Duscheone Design
Deniece Duscheone admits with a wink that her design aesthetic has been described as “Alexander McQueen meets the world of interiors.” It’s easy to see why. Duscheone shares the late fashion icon’s penchants for edge and innovation, but she also reveres historical architecture. Case in point: When she revamped the powder room of a turn-of-the-century mansion for San Francisco Decorator Showcase in 2019, she made moody, seductive magic out of what could’ve felt ancillary. “The space—we titled it Public Secrets—wasn’t as old as the rest of the house, but everybody assumed it was original,” Duscheone says of the project, which AD online declared “utterly dramatic,” further establishing her as a provocateur who infuses spaces with soul.
"It's all about the story of a space and the emotions it evokes while remaining grounded in a natural sensibility."
