Well-traveled elegance and interesting edge are the ruling characteristics of Jaimie Belew’s interior design work, a practice “devoted to storytelling moments in a room and curating the right mix of antique, modern, and custom elements,” she explains. For more than a decade, her boutique firm has been generating buzz, most recently with its new location in downtown San Carlos, which Belew says will soon include a retail shop offering furnishings, accessories, and art with the designer’s same worldly signature. “The European influences in my work and curated homewares come from travel—my continuing design education and addiction,” she admits with a laugh. “We try to celebrate historical references whenever possible.”
