San Francisco Design Center
A tufted French sofa. Fine ceramic art. Hand-painted silk wallcovering. The San Francisco Design Center—which welcomes the public but sells only through trade representatives—is home to stunning custom home furnishings such as these. “We champion craft and bring in collections from around the world,” says Vice President of Marketing Rhonda Hirata of the design center’s 90 showrooms. The curated marketplace anchors the city’s design district, showcasing lighting, furniture, textiles, flooring, wallcovering, tile, antiques, and art from some 2,000 local and international brands. Hirata adds, “Our events and collections reflect vital currents in the industry, and we love connecting public visitors with professional designers from our network.”
"It’s a place to get inspired and experience the best in design firsthand."
